Whether it’s Alan Turin or Erin Brokovich, the people depicted in biographical films all made some kind of impact on the world. No matter how big or small, these people left legacies behind, enough to be re-told through film.
With these films being on NOW, we had the opportunity to relate the legacies of these iconic figures to what we now have come to define as an ‘influencer’ and parallel them alongside the idea of today’s influencers.
I had so much fun writing the script for this promo, trying to figure out the appropriate words to use that were taken from how we talk about social media and influencers today but to relate it back to the way we see and discuss historical figures. It really helped me learn the subtlety of copywriting and how not to underestimate your audience – things can be said without having to be explained.
